Ranks of the Insurgency

Ranks of the Insurgency (from top ranking to lowest) with in character (IC) and out of character (OOC) role descriptions and how to rise to that rank. Please do not ask to be moved up a rank, I promise we are watching.


Grand Commander
- IC: Rank issued to the leader of a unit division. Has complete authority over their designated unit division and holds hearings to issue punishment for capital crimes.
-OOC: Same as General.
-Requirements: None, closed rank.

General
- IC: Trusted member of the Insurgency. Commands forces and answers only to the Grand Commander of their division. Issues minor punishment and participants in meetings with Grand Commanders. Issues major troop deployments.
-OOC: Leader within the guild, that discusses decisions with other Generals. Votes on major guild changes. Main Arc Story Developers fall under this rank. Discusses, trains, and evaluates story developers and GMs. Same as lower ranks.
-Requirements: None, closed rank.

Colonel
- IC: Follows orders given by Generals. Has freedom to make tactical decisions during combat and can order minor troop deployment. Commands a battalion of up to four squads, five squads if the colonel owns a squad.
-OOC: Develops side stories that are used to make up for the time needed to develop main story arcs. Can nominate GMs for review by Generals. Same as lower ranks.
-Requirements: Must be nominated by a Colonel or higher rank.

Major
-IC: Oversees missions and orders given by the ranks. Trains troops within their division. Can command a unit of two squads.
-OOC: Comprised of GMs pending acceptance as side story developers. Leads small stories used to evaluate their ability to tell stories. Helps teach new members to roleplay. Same as lower ranks.
-Requirements: Must be nominated by a Colonel or higher rank.

Lieutenant
-IC: Takes units on small raids and single objective missions (Heroics). Can form a squad of four total members.
-OOC:GM within the guild. Helps keep RP alive within the guild lulls in the main story arc by doing group quests, heroics, flashpoints, or PVP matches in character.
-Requirements: Must be active in roleplays and story arcs. Knowledge base in star wars and strong history of RP experience.

Ensign
-IC: Follow orders of the above ranks and keeps order within the guild. Charged with reporting and correcting bad behavior.
-OOC: Moderator for the guild and is over keeping the guild, chat, forum, and game play free of offensive language and posts.
-Requirements: You will be picked by a General or Grand Commander.

Sergeant
-IC: Carries out orders of the above ranks and helps with training new members.
-OOC: Is charged with helping new members with any questions or advice.
-Requirements: Shows a true dedication to assisting new players. Character must be 50-65.

Corporal
-IC: Carries out the orders of the above ranks and makes up the fighting force of the Insurgency.
-OOC: Participates in all guild stories.
-Requirements: Make an account on the official Hierarchy in Ruin website and make a character dossier.

ONLY CHARACTERS BELONGING TO A MEMBER WITH AN ACCOUNT AND CHARACTER DOSSIER ON THIS SITE WILL BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE ABOVE RANKS.

Specialist
-IC: Participants in missions and general meetings.
-OOC: Participates in all guild stories.
-Requirements: Join the Insurgency
